Hence it is prefect for any sports activities with Stop and Go. Merino wool also has its' own built-in natural UV protection system (UPF 25-50+).
Merino wool is a natural thermoregulator. The wool can absorb steam inside the fibre, yet the surface repels water. It can absorb up to 33% of its' dry weight in water without feeling damp and it dissipates moisture far more quickly. Since wool products consist of up to 85% air in relation to their total volume, they are good heat insulators. This means there are scarcely any loss of body heat. It repels dirt and hardly crumples at all because the fibre is highly elastic. Unlike artificial fibres, wool absorbs few odors, such as sweat, and is naturally self-cleansing - it discharges any absorbed odors into the air again. The wool is also distinguished by its very low weight and extraordinarily good insulation properties. Merino wool is also machine washable.
